Two young members, John Brinley and Owen Griffiths, were celebrated at the Llanfairfechan Town Council Volunteer Awards tonight for their outstanding contribution to the community.
Both have played a key role in delivering Nipper sessions at the pool and on the beach during the summer, showing dedication, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. Their volunteering forms part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award journey, highlighting how rewarding and enjoyable community service can be.
Club Chair Nefyn Williams praised the pair, saying:
"John and Owen are fantastic role models for our younger members. We wish them every success with their Lifeguard assessments next year."
The recognition underscores the importance of youth involvement in lifesaving and beach safety initiatives, inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.
